This is going to be a memoir and history of me and some of my family. I feel it would be a shame if some of this information true or fanciful is lost. I hope i willl be able to add some pictures at a later date. It all began with Pearl and James Maddock who began their married life in Lyall Bay in 1919. There remained no photos of their wedding which I suspect was a hasty affair due to historical events and lack of money. Between them they had 5 children Fay Lucille (known as Daisy) my mother, Patricia Noel, Thomas James and Barbara Pearl. James was supposed to register Barbara as Batbara Pauline but couldn't remember the details so thought Pearl would be good. Needless to say Barbara called herself Barbara Pauline.
